I’ve had senior model teams in the past, but we had never done more than one model session in the school year. We always did a group model session towards the end of summer and then we would have each model’s individual senior session during the school year. I decided to change that for the class of 2019 model team!
Part of the fun of senior model sessions is the planning and bringing it all together. The theme for this one was New Year’s Eve! I knew exactly how I wanted to execute it! To really bring the theme to life, I got balloons and mirror balls and tied it together with direct flash! Katie Robinson and Jessie Stutts of the Beauty Bar Salon in Houma traveled to Nola to do the hair and make up for us, and they did such an amazing job. Since we were going for a fun, party-like vibe, I told them to have fun with color! I loved how they coordinated the make up looks to the outfits each girl was wearing!
Another first for this shoot was that we partnered with a boutique this go round! My dear friends at CoCo Boutique were sweet enough to let us borrow wardrobe for the shoot. It really added a level of fun and everything matched the theme perfectly! I’m so grateful that I got to work all these amazing people for this shoot, it wouldn’t have been the same without them!
